Do you rev your car / motorcycle engine before shutting down? Why or why not.

Hmmm... interesting. I never thought about it until now.
Anyway, I have been driving for 14 years already and every time I get home I immediately turn the engine off. I never had a problem with my car before which I had for 11 years. So I guess not revving the car is good for the engine. Hehehe...
I'm really not sure. But, come to think of it, wear and tear of the engine components results from working the car. Besides, the engine was already being revved up until the time when you get home. Anyway, it think this practice is just a waste of gasoline and giving undue stress to your engine components. Just like idling in the morning for 2 or more minutes before putting the car into gear.
But that's just me. Hehehehe
P.S. I heard that with the diesel variant of the Accent, you need to idle it before turning it off because of the turbo. But it's different from revving. Anyway, it's a different story.![]()

...yes, for me I do rev twice or trice before shutdown or starting my car just to stretching out my engine. Especially kung early morning when I starting up the engine.
stretching out my engine wire? dili kaha warm-up?![]()
Unconsciously I'd let it idle for a bit before shutting it down..
More like stretching or cool down for my Kryzzter from all the "legwork" he's been doing all day![]()
