WEB DESIGNER/DEVELOPER TEAM LEADER
We are looking for a Web Designer/Developer Team Leader to work on a variety of web and ecommerce projects. This role is essentially a hands-on development team leader position. The ideal candidate will have worked previously as Senior Web Developer/Designer, and able to demonstrate first rate technical and leadership attributes.
You must be a creative team player, who can contribute innovative ideas, work independently, and possess excellent verbal and written communications skills, critical thinking, decision making and problem solving skills. Ability to design, develop and implement high-quality results in a timely manner is essential.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for managing the efficient day to day running of the team's work volumes and allocations.
• First point of contact with Management including day to day communication.
• Prepares functional specifications from which programs will be written, then designs, codes, tests, debugs and documents programs.
• Participates in the technical design, development, testing, implementation and maintenance of website enhancements.
• Recommends best practices, develops guidance and content standards, and ensures best practices and standards are met and maintained.
• Perform periodic QA/code review.
You will ideally have experience in the following:
• Very strong experience in a technical leadership role with a proven track record of managing web developers, designers and graphic artists.
• Solid understanding of PHP, MySQL, Ajax, JSON, XML, HTML/HTML5, CSS, JavaScript
• Experience with C/C++, C#, ASP.Net, Java, is a plus.
• Experience developing static and dynamic web pages.
• Worked in an SDLC environment including version control system (SVN)
• Worked with various CMS platforms including Wordpress
• Demonstrated understanding of usability issues, knowledge of web standards and human interface guidelines.
• Experience with Unix/Linux Operating Systems.
Your background;
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or any related field. Preferably with Masters Degree.
• Outstanding leadership skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong project estimation and planning skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
In addition the successful candidate must be willing to occasionally travel to Perth, Australia for training and other operational requirements.
