GTX 580 pricing lowers as GTX 680 launch nears

With the GTX 680 now getting all the attention at the top end from the green team as it nears launch, to help deal with the clearing of current inventories there appears to be a noticable price drop taking place on the current flagship GF110-based GTX 580.

Several European price-aggregators including Geizhals.at are quick to show that the reduction in price on the GTX 580 is significant - as low as 339.8 EUR which makes the 1.5GB version even cheaper than the HD 7950 and thus improving on its price-performance ratio. Meanwhile, the 3GB versions are now being offered at similar pricing to the HD 7950. Putting things into further perspective, the GTX 570 starts at 249 EUR.
