a popular street food way back in manila... beef brisket cooked "pares style" (secret) combined with garlic rice. origin unknown

when my friends and I put up a tapsilogan along A.S. Fortuna (Jeg's), we included beef pares to our menu, so as to have our food tasting like d'original pares or jona's that i and our neighbors enjoyed so much.

na miss gyud ni nako.i used to eat pares near our ancestral home in bulacan.i was told that beef pares is ang beef nga i-halo sa mami.(noodles+pares+broth)that's why ang beef mami medyo brown ang color.there are people man gud kuno nga who prefer to have it paired with rice as ulam rather than mag mami.mao kuno na ang story sa pares.can somebody validate my story?
