    hope this helps boss,..
" It says on the outside of the box the CoolerMaster V8 comes in "180W cooling solution" so that tells you how much power is consumed when you have the knob turned all the way to the right (or up/max power consumption) but my question is why would they have a volume knob on a CPU fan? I mean, why adjust it? It's supposed to moniter the CPU load and adjust the fan's speed automatically (unless Asus lies?)... " quoted from a reply in Tom's Hardware

mao sd lge boss, kung ato e math (butang lang nato 82% ang eff sa PSU)= 574 watts, given sa psu calc 425w , + V8 (180w) = 605w

kuyaw kung ma in.ani sa real situation 574w < 605w

180W Cooling Solution means it is able to handle CPUs up to 180w TDP but it does not necessarily consume that much.. The fans are rated 0.32A, meaning they use only about 5w after adding losses..

    Sakto ng 425w..

What i do is assume that that 425w is only on the 12v alone.. Any psu with 40A on on the 12v rail can handle that. Even the Seasonic X-460 fanless will giggle at that load..
