ok let's clear things up here. working your way to a pilot license depends on what level you wish to attain:

1. student pilot's license
- this is the starting point. mura ra ni siya og student's permit sa LTO. you fill out forms, have yourself checked for the medical certificate, pay and process for pertinent papers and you have this license na.

2. private pilot's license
- this license is like a non-professional driver's license sa LTO. you only get to fly for private purposes and you cannot be hired to fly for compensation. to get this license, you should comply, according to the civil air regulations, at least the private pilot ground lessons and 40 hrs of flight time. depending on the aircraft flown, flight school enrolled in, makagasto ka og approximately around 400-500k.

3. commercial pilot's license
- this license is a requisite in applying for a job as a pilot. you can add ratings such as instrument ratings, flight instructor ratings, ground instructor ratings, etc with this license to further push the progress in your career. it is with this license that you build up hours to comply with what airline companies look for to hire you as a pilot. if you wish to go up to this license from zero time, you need to shell out almost or over a million.

4. airline transport pilot license
- as the name implies, you'll be flying airliners with this license. i do not have enough knowledge about the mechanics of getting this license as i am only exposed to the general aviation community.
