If a laptop has viruses and threats, do I need to get my laptop cleaned out before I buy antivirus with eset coupons? My Toshiba laptop has many serious viruses. Do I have to take it somewhere to get all cleaned out before I buy anti-virus protection, or can I buy it, download it and have it take care of the viruses?! please help!!!

^ ^ i agree... save your data to an external hdd/flash drive > reformat > install AV (AVG free,AVAST or MS security essentials > transfer back your files but scan it first.

What I would do is get an anti-virus then run it.. then backup the clean files then reformat

Some viruses would disarm you from installing AV. I would go for backup files, reformat, install AV and lastly be mindful of what your downloading or visiting.
