Is it a wise decision to change your mobo coz daghan na mobo rn wd pcie 3.0?
Mu matter ba ning pcie 3.0 esp nigawas na ang 7000 series?

Lets say same specs ang 2 ka rig the diff lang kay pcie 3.0 ang usa same cards 7970
would there be much of a diff sa performance?

Nag worry ko kay ako z68 mobo naay bag.o rev with pcie 3.0.

Negative or positive inputs are welcome.

short version: no, not right now. >money pit.

elaboration: pcie 3 boards are very expensive and wouldn't be any better than current pcie 2.0... a lot newer processors will come out before the pcie 3.0 is fully utilized, and by then, mag-ilis nasad ka ug mobo.

I think PCI-e 3.0 is only supported by the upcoming Ivy Bridge.

(All PCI Express x16 slots conform to PCI Express 3.0 standard.)
    * To support PCI Express 3.0, you must install an Intel 22nm CPU.
Here you go. Taken from GA Z68MA-D2H-B3 (rev 1.3) specifications

Pwede ivy sa Z68 bro.. But pcie3.0 would not make a big difference even if you have a 2x sli/xfire setup. x8-x16 gani gamay ra difference. And no current single gpu card can even fully saturate pcie2.0
