kanang hyper threading dependent rana sa procee or dapat musupport pod ang motherboard? like ASUS P8Z68-M Pro, wala nakabutang sa specs nga 'supports intel hyperthreading technology'. meaning d siya maka utilize?

Sa una katong bag-o pa lang girelease ang Pentium 4 with HT, kinahanglan pa i-update ang bios sa motherboard with 845 chipset and up. Other chipsets lower than 845 murag dili na ka-support..

thanks guys, im building a pc for my cuz'. what do you think about these specs?

Core i3 2120 (will be overclocked to 3.45)
ASUS P8Z68-M Pro (Ganahan siya atong GENE-Z/Gen 3 mga mATX board, worth it raba if planning pa siya mupgrade later when haswell chips come out?)
HD6870 ref
4GB HyperX blu
WD 1TB Green
TJ08B-E

any possible bottlenecks?

nindot ang GeneZ but sayangan ku if i3 ra imu proci... P8Z68-M pro should do... labay nalang nang pampuno unta nimu sa mobo sa vcard, daog nka..

1. 2120 cant be OCed
2. Haswell most likely will be a different socket
3. VC will be the bottleneck

^it can be sir, but only about 5% or 4 fsb depende sa mobo.

from my googling, at 1080 res, d raman daw bottleneck ang single 6870 paired with i3 2120

Nuon kung bclk ang hilabtan. Pero dili na maayo. And +5 bclk will require considerable voltage which is not worth the OC.

Bottleneck meaning its the weaklink of all components. Technically, in games, the VC is the bottleneck most of the time. The 2100, much more the 2120, can make almost all single gpu cards out there to be the bottleneck.

Ex (ex lang): The Witcher 2:
2120 + 6870 = 40fps
2600 + 6870 = 41fps

2120 + 7970 = 60fps
2600 + 7970 = 61fps

Now, which is the bottleneck??

so other than VC bottlenecking, no other issues na ning build?

unsay angay buhaton brad kun bottleneck imo VC...Kailangan ba imo tangtangon na lng..Naa ba purohan nga maguba imo Uban components or ang VC kon i continue nmo gamit? info lng..bottleneck pud cguro ako usa ka pc..hehe
