    Default For concerned istoryan

I have a question in mind which has been bugging me around
im not expecting a lot would agree but i would definitely want some inputs about this matter
since all rules and regulations may have flaws and/or broad meaning, i would like to point out something

this issue came to my mind more and more everyday as i am currently arguing with someone about it

basically, pansin naman cguro ninyo na dagmak na kaau mga scammers dri. and i partially blame the lack of regulation or corresponding action towards it by istorya. Its not that they dont care, its just that I know something can be done somehow...

even stating FACTS is considered THREAD CRAPPING when in fact, you are just trying to HELP

    scenario 1:
Istoryan selling CDMA phone without directly saying it.
CDMA is a sim card slot-less device / or if it does, only used for DATA and not for VOICE(unless hacked)
big CDMA networks in the US are VERIZON and SPRINT
complete List can be checked here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...vice_providers

You stated facts to state public awareness - INFRACTION
direct point statement. CDMA phones doesnt use GSM network

oh diba? pointless? ikaw pa nagka infraction? when infact dapat unta, all aces are on the table
I know its' the buyer's responsibility but it doesnt hurt to help. right?
malay nato. ignorante jud ang interesado. luoy pud. mahugawan nasad pangalan sa istorya

    well, here is my story:

A seller posted an item and stated all the FACTS(kuno) in the thread
price is fine. no qualms about it
    definition is good
    but a statement bothered me
    WITH 1 YR WARRANTY
    but bought outside Pinas

my logic tells me its not right. hence,
i commented na, phones that doesnt have NTC stickers wont be acknowledged by service centers here
APOLOGIZED, no offense meant and REASONED OUT for PUBLIC AWARENESS

seller can always reason out, its not that the thread is closed and discussion ends. BUT

POOF! Message got deleted, i got infracted

WOW! i guess pde ra di ta mka suwat ug bisan unsa ma BAKAK ba or DLI!!
kay maski mga TINUOD na BUTANG pde i DISREGARD kay THREAD CRAPPING NA

well, i dont know whats his logic but i stand by mine
call me stupid or not but i dont think theres a better way to say the truth straight to the point

PMs could work but for public awareness? i wouldnt even know how many istoryans couldve reached the seller you PM. nor would one get the guarantee that the seller would change their statements

    two thumbs up...
    i agree....

because CDMA phones or code division multiple access are phone that doesn't have simcard.
while GSM phones or ph that have simcard.
yes only sprint and verizon have this kind of technology which still exists on their market nowadays.
i worked as a technical support rep for one of the biggest and largest telecom on the us ayt now....

so sa nag hatag ani nga thread....

    two thumbs up...

    godbless everyone..

hmm. there are new smartphones out there that works on CDMA and GSM spectrums naman... so murag probably that phone/tablet advertised may or might not work here....

Although AT&T's GSM broadband spectrums are totally different from our local network strata...usually hinay ug signals ang mga phones gikan sa AT&T then gamiton dire using our local networks....

I have a friend whose working in T-mobile, and more or less, T-mobile network's infrastructure usually resembles our local networks' infrastructure... comparing T-mobile imported phones with ATT imported phones side by side.. mas kusog pa ang signal sa T-mobile imports over the ATT imported ones...

Anyway.. going back to the topic...

Sa mga buyers.. RESEARCH is your best TOOL to buying a phone...

Mao ra na akong ma storya dire

Bag-o lang ko tambay ani nga section when I was buying a new phone... didto man jud ko pirmi sa Computer Hardware and accessories as I am a computer enthusiast.... not a phone techie...

Thumbs up ko ani.... Even ako.. some sellers are selling their phones higher than the cheapest brandnew price... then maluoy lng pud ko sa makapalit unya sa unit... so what i always do is post the link to the actual bnew phone nga mas lower ug price... I think it is our moral obligation as part of this community to inform fellow istoryans of the facts and give them options to make this buy and sell section a fair stage to everyone.. free from scammers and those who take advantage of the ignorance of others... I think MODs should review (I know they are doing their best) first the content of the message and try to examine the intention of the person who posted before deeming it as thread crapping... Just because it falls in that category doesn't mean its absolute... its the job of machines and computers to do automatic sorting... Humans can actually see beyond what is presented and this makes us superior to any computing machine... ever!

i agree sir. usually i-PM nko ang seller that his/her price is somewhat the same na sa brand new price. and as buyers, we should be vigilant pud.
