    Default Power consumption on Monitors

share lang ko ninyo on a little experiment sa power consumption..

on a LG 17" CRT monitor:
idle: 4.6W (unplug your CRTs when not in use)
    full white screen: 60W
    full black screen: 50W

on a Saumsung 21.5" LED monitor:
    idle: 0.7W
    full white screen: 17W
    full black screen: 19W

bali lagi sa LED..i used to think nga same ra ang relation sa power consumption sa CRT ug LED(regarding sa colors)..that's why i used to keep using dark desktop wallpapers to save some energy but bali man diay sa LED O.o
hope this helps those who want to conserve a bit of energy

    extra info lang:
    Altec Lansing speakers:
idle: 6.0W (unplug your speakers when not it use)

everything that consumes electricity when left unplug will still use electricity... its called "Phantom Load". it is a must to unplug all appliances... including gadgets to avoid waste of energy/electricity... dako kaayo ni ug tabang sa atoang pag daginot sa electricity bill specially when computed on a yearly basis...

If you replace your old CRT TV with a flatscreen LED, the money you will save in electricity bills per year will get you another LED TV hahaha

yeah, kinsay naay LCD(CCFL) ug LCD(LED)? paki share inputs sa power consumption

ako lang pud gi point out kung sa LCD(LED) kay mas gamay ang power consumption kung mostly white ang screen compared to mostly dark/black sa screen

what do you mean by "d constant imo time"?

well ing.ani ako pag test..paslak sa tester, on monitor, change background to white. observe for 30 seconds.
then change background color to black. observe for 30 seconds.

after ana diritsu dayun ko test sa crt, same procedure

mu fluctuate ang values mga ±2W for the LED, ±5W for the CRT
