While Ultrabooks are one of the focus by notebook makers, it seems like the global sales of the mobile computer this year is estimated to be 20%, which is lower than the targeted 30%, or 40% expected from Intel. According to Taiwan-based supply chain makers, the reason is because ultrabooks are less desirable in Europe; consumers in Europe prefer notebooks with 15-inch or larger displays. According to sources, of the current notebooks available for sale in the global market, 40-45% are 15-inch models but there are no 15-inch ultrabook models and approximately 35-40% are 14-inch models.Source: Digitimes
