Default GPU limited or CPu limited / bottleneck issue ?

Masters from istorya hear me out guys

mainly this PC is used for gaming / Blu ray ripping

but then what i noticed was that i can rip while playing a not so heavy game like a mmo but
when it comes to battlefield 3 i kinda have a lag issue

CPU phenom x4 b50 oc'd to 3.5 at the moment
    ram 6gb
    graphics card amd 6870 1gb

    which ever is the bottleneck

    if cpu then i was planning to upgrade either to a i5/ i7 / bulldozer / x6

if gpu was thinking of crossfiring 2 6870 1gb

my mobo is now currently supporting only 1 VC

so its kind of confusing on which is the bottle neck here ?

but aside from just gaming my pc is fine

all comments are welcome and help is deeply apprciated

no amd / intel fights here pls

just tell me what needs to be done here

akong question kai ngano mg RIP mn ka while playing battlefield? its one of the most cpu/gpu intensive games at the moment. but if you can afford. i think upgrading to x6 (lame kaayo ang bulldozer) or i7 2600k and crossfiring 2 6870 would only increase your electricity bill hehe. but they would increase performance tho. but for me okey naman nang imong setup bro. if you can just Brip while not playing BF3 haha..

Upgrades are fine. but do you really need them?

dba imong board kai dli ka support ug 2 cards?

mas better nko mukuha kag 1 monster card kaysa mg crossfire. reasons. KALAS KURENTE, INIT, Possible ISSUES (uban games) and bulky kaayo tan.awon. hehe

so mag palit kag new board(for crossfire). but mas nindot paresan ang new board ug new procie and rams.. + k2 imong i.crossfire. so in the end ma upgrade tanan. and samot na imong psu if dli ka daog. upgrade pd hehe

its really your call TS ^_^ just some helpful advice here

bro d ka pwede mag dungan dungan ug cpu intensive programs/apps without affecting performance of the other, especially when a program utilizes as much cpu process like ripping, video encoding and such(usually taking almost 100% utilization on all cores available depending on application used)...

Video encoding is cpu intensive bro. Samot na handbrake which is multi-threaded. What ripper are you using btw TS?

since unlocked athlon x3 450 na with minor overclock, wala jud untay bottle neck sa single 6870, kung naa man gani gamay ra, im running my x3 450 @ 4ghz solid, ok ra.

suggestion nako is do 1 thing at a time. dula kung dula, encode kung encode (watch some vids or browse the web while your at it) nalang.

they are right.. but if you really want to be a multi tasker, why not set the game settings to low? it might improve your gameplay while ripping..
