bros, got a problem with a P3 PC used to work after it was reformated. but currently it can only boot upto the windows xp screen (black bg with progress indicator lower to the logo) and then restarts. it would keep restarting whenever the xp screen appears. restarting it in safemode, it works without any trouble. placed the RAM 1 at a time and still the problem persists. XP used is SP2 and RAM is 128MB. hope could get answers from the wizards here... tnx for the support...Ü

bro, unsa na imo installer SP2 daan or nag-update lang ka from SP1 to SP2? try using XP SP2 na cd jud daw.

wala nako gi update bro. reformated the HD then SP2 CD ang gamit pag re install bro. BTW, xp ra jud diay ang na install ani walay laing program.

Bay naa sa display ang prob ana kung onboard imo gamit palit gyud ka ug bag-o nga V-card para magamit na nimo.Pero kung PCI/AGP slot gani na kuha-a nalang na onboard lang gamita kung naa. Dayon proceed sa pag re-install ug windows.suwayi sulbad imo prob ana. enjoy sa tips ni Novita

Novita's probably right.
Had a similar experience before. the culprit was the video card. If your mboard has an onboard video, use it during WinXP OS installation.

I agree, its a Video CARD problem

Try this.. it works with my PC before.. FInd a win 98 installer.. install it then upgrade it to XP..

Just try.. maybe it would work to your system

kung ang problema nag arise right after sa clean installation, daku possibility nga video card or memory problema. I had an experiece with my Sempron with Radeon Video Card. tama tong suggestion nga i-dis-able / detach the AGP Card nimo and use on-board video kung may onboard. kung mag run ang system for couple of hours nga wala ga restart, then kato video card problema. kung same parin, try testing memory module nga you know working and in good condition. kung same parin, try mo na naman power supply. kung same parin, then board.. pero since working fine in safe mode as u said... naa ra jud did2 sa Video card na.
