    Default Japanese Surplus Audio Equipments


    Hi Istoryans,

    Open ko ani na thread to ask feedback on any Jap Surplus Audio equipments like Amps, Speakers, equalizers and the likes na you own....what do you think? bang for the buck (sulit ba?) or not worth the risk?( no warranty and risk of getting a lemon)..how's the sound quality? durability?..any tips on how to maintain these equipments?

    If naa mu picture of your gears ,post sad ninyo please...

    Any review or feedback of your gears are also welcome...

    nice ang japan surplus. kaysa mupalit ka china made.
    good quality jud ang japan even sa mga amps, speakers, turntable and tape deck player.
    nindot pa ug tingog.

    daghan china which barato pero bati kau paminawn kay basag.

    Japanese surplus audio equipment are very good. Nindot gyud ug sounds.
    They are the cheapest way of getting middle- to high- end equipment, at a much lower cost. It's like having a high-end setup of the 1970's to 1980's today!

    Better if you know some technicians who can restore/clean the usually dusty innards.

    Issues to watch for are static sound due to rusty/dirty potentiometers.

    better use 100V source (step-down transformers), if possible.
