Federrer will win the Australian open unless ma chambahan ug balik ni rodick. hehehhe... I do hope nadal perform well despite his injuries though. For the womens draw... Sharapova is my bet to win.

    my bets:

on men's, i'm quite positive Federer will take it away and nail his third grandslam title on Melbourne.. although Roddick might take it again who i think is not far behind from him in terms of dominance at the hard court.. Nadal won't make it in the Aussie's (just a wild guess) considering that he hasn't won any event since the french open.. plus, he's the king of clay for christ's sake..

on women's, Sharapova will prove that she can dominate the hardcourts after winning the US open.. she definitely can and will do it again at the Aussie's.. btw, sharapova i'm sweating in here..

these are my predictions.. it may or may not happen..

JUGS: Nadal's chances are fairly high in the Aussie Open. Rebound Ace is almost as slow as clay. Compared to Roddick who loves the fast courts, his serve is not as effective here on rebound ace. As you can see, Roddick's serve has been broken quite a few times and he lost a few sets all the way to the 4th round. He lost a set during the first round to a nobody... then to Safin... and Ancic took him to 5 sets.

As for Nadal... he has only lost 1 set so far - He's facing Murray next... I expect him to give Murray a beating (Murray simply has no weapon against Nadal).

But you know what... anything can happen. Nadal might choke and Roddick's gonna start grinding instead of getting impatient and tries to end the point early.

    --------------

As far as the women's go ... I like Hingis' chances if she gets past Clijsters (which I think is the strongest on Rebound Ace). Sharapova should face Hingis or Clijsters in the finals... If Hingis gets through Clijsters in the quarters, she should be able to handle Sharapova's power in this surface when she faces her in the semis.

Mauresmo recently lost so Serena's path to the finals is pretty much empty... I don't think Peer, Vaidisova, or Safarova poses a threat to Serena.

Sa akong 4th round predictions... I was almost perfect on the bottom half draw except for Hewitt losing to Gonzales. Sa top draw... I only have Federer, Ancic and Robredo right..... never expected Roddick to get through... ug si Mardy Fish - I'm glad that he's doing great.

Guess I was wrong about Murray... he gave Nadal problems by mixing up his shots.
Anyways, Nadal is through to the quarters.

sux i didn't even finish the game thinking that Nadal won't make it after Murray hit amazing dropshots which made Nadal ran terribly around the courts..

anyway, about Nadal making it on the finals.. at this point in time, i guess
Nadal has a better chance on making it though i'm still quite positive he's gonna have a hard time playing ball on rebound ace because of his previous injuries.. and after i saw the Murray vs. Nadal game, damn that kid Rafa is having a hard time on the court..
