Hope you could help us disseminate the information about the benefit concert tomorrow, Dec. 24, 2011, 1pm to 7pm, at Fuente Osmeņa circle.

The concert aims to raise funds to help the victims of typhoon Sendong, most especially in Cagayan de Oro, Iligan, Dumaguete, Valencia and Tanay.

We hope to raise enough funds, not just to provide immediate relief to the victims, but also to help them rebuild their lives, which includes helping them rebuild their houses and means of livelihood.

It is a free concert, but attendees are encouraged to bring in their donations and drop it in one of the five donation centers around the Fuente area: one near BDO, one near Shamrock, one near KFC, one in Bank of Commerce and another one in McDonalds Jones.

This endeavour is organized by the Junior Chamber International in the Visayas, in cooperation with the Cebu City Government, Kapisanan ng mga Broadcasters sa Pilipinas - Cebu Chapter, McDonalds, Council of the Laity, Council of Student Governments and Knights of Columbus. This is the same group who helped raise P2 million during the Tabang Southern Leyte campaign which help sent to school the orphaned students of Guinsaugon, St. Bernard. The funds raised was turned over to Ramon Aboitiz Foundation to handle the scholarships of the students.
