ASUS sued over "Transformer Prime" trademark infringement

ASUS is now in trouble for using the name "Transformer" and "Transformer Prime". Toy maker Hasbro has filed a lawsuit against the Taiwanese company over the trademark on the name that are more known for the toys, cartoons and movies.

The new ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime Android tablet was showcased at the AsiaD: All Things Digital event in Hong Kong, and has garnered great popularity from the name it bears, but this has apparently also brought along some troubles. Toy manufacturer Hasbro has sued ASUS for the use of the name which they had trademarked, and stated that they will defend their brand. While the two companies and their products may be targeting different market, Hasbro does have a series of video games and accessories for PC and Xbox 360 game console which are under the name “Transformer”, thereby providing the toy company with adequate relevancy to be concerned that consumers may be misled into thinking Hasbro had endorsed the ASUS product. As for now, Hasbro is requesting for an injunction against ASUS, and a 21 day period for them to respond.Source: Into Mobile

pero sa vr-zone kay ni file njud diay sila og lawsuit.. mas updated diay ang vr-zone.. hehehe..

ok rana boss kong ang company kay nag start pa and need to be promoted or adds pero as big as there's dili na you need to pay them pagani just to use it. i think mas daghan kaila sa transformers kaysa asus hahahaha

Buttomline: kung nikwarta sila ug dako tungod sa transformer theme, (which dili ila nga ngalan) mangita gyud na ug bahin ang naka trademark sa sikat nga ngalan, in the first place di in-ana kasikat ilang produkto kung wala sila nigamit ug sikat sad nga theme...

sakit2x gyud ni nga sili para nila due to thier ignorance....(Ignorance of the law excuses no one not even ASUS LOL) this is what democracy is all about...it`s all about equality and freedom hehehe
