need help mga bros kung asa ta pwede makapa ayo ug ECU box para sa ako toyota corona exsior. nag drive ko kalit lang ka pawng unya di na mu andar. gipa tanaw namo sa yelgit autoshop ingun sila naa daw nasunog sa ecu box. di na daw nila ma ayo. ask ko dri kinsa naa idea maka ayo ug ecu box ug naa pa kaha purohan ma ayo pani? medyo mahal raba ni ecu box pero ask lang pud ko mga pila kaha exact price sa bnew? sa toyota raba ni mapalit jud or naa bani mapalitan sa mga shops? thanks in advance.

mga igso, bro, sis, mao na ni atong problemo basta 1990 (or a little earlier) and up models kay ecu jud...mga cars until 1980s wa man toy ecu, mao nga kon dunay problemo tungud jud kay dunay ni fail nga component/subsystem sa imo makina. karon, bisag ok ra unta ang component/subsystem, magproblemo na ang makina kay ecu maoy nagloko...o di ba mga sensors nga nagfed ug data sa ecu ni give up na...mahal ra ba kaajo ni, mga igso, para toyota ecu surplus around P30k, brandnew around P90k. dunay moaju, mga igso, P10k with 1 mo. warranty.

mean time between failures sa mga electronics, naa sa 5 to 10 years. example ani kanang mga mo board sa computers, kon 5 years old na or so, magloko na...time to buy a new mo board, or simply buy a new unit

hehehe...balik na lang ko sa akong jeepy nga 4k makina, maaju to kay way ecu, mga igso, puwede ra i-tweek sa mekanik kon may problem man jud. karon, kon wa kay computerized equipment, di ka makadiagnose sa ecu aron makoha ang error code unja mapointout kon unsa jud and problemo...

maong nang mga mekanik nga dili sa high-end shops, pataka na lag ilis sa part/subsystem pero mao ra gihapon problemo, coz ang ecu or sensors diay ang daut


kon surrender na ang yelgits sa imong ecu...meaning: ka egits na nang imong ecu, dehydrated na na, sunog na man kaha, di na jud na maajo...RIP...palit na lag replacement P30k or P90k

kon matabang pag ajuhon, P10k damage...then after two or so months, after the warranty expires, daut na sad ang another portion sa ecu, another P10k na sad...hehehe

ako 1995 ride sugod nag loko2x and makina starting 2000 tungod sa ecu...maghumming ang makina morag gibalajan mga bujog nagsiren, unja ma wa ra sad, unja balik na sad...duna nay mga IC sa ecu nga nag-intermittent failure, maybe coz of heat or vibration or humidity or loose contact, or combos thereof...baligja ko na lang ni ninjo, mga igso, barato ra...duna pay pakapin honey.

by the way, mga igso, basig kapujon mog huna2x sa akong gisulti, duna koy banig baligja puwede 50 ka tawo makatulog, basta magbarog lang, mga igso

update:

the ECU was repaired by a known technician recommended by yelgit. naa daw gipang ilisan IC parts para ma ok. bilib pud ko na ayo pa. yelgit told me kadto tawhana maayo kuno nya bisan mga casa technicians consult or ask for his help regarding ECU repairs. tried to ask from yelgit but they couldnt divulge his identity (strategy pud nila tngai). anyway, the car runs good. got a 6 month warranty for the ECU repair. hopefully its for good. dako2 pud damage but i guess its worth it than buying a bnew or surplus ECU.

So, unsa man ang problema ani, ENGINE CHECKLIGHT ERROR?

Most of these problems can be done by resetting the ECU, using some OBD tools. Common kaayo ni, even sa mga high end na cars like BMW, MB, Audi.

Once gamitan nimo ug OBD tools, makita nimo ang error kung unsa, or asa na part sa sakyanan. The OBD tools will give you the error code and this code has specific description, like sensor problems, etc...

Some errors is kaya lang i reset using some of this OBD tools provided na walay guba ang other parts sa imong sakyanan.

Official service centers may not have this tool kay it is against their policy regarding warranty.
