Default Recommended 24/7 UPS and torrent box set up

    Any recommended 24/7 operation UPS?
Plano man gud nako kay either mag NAS or mag build ug ITX based linux torrent box.

Though naa koy nakit.an sa Interpace na APC BR550GI na murag naka uyon ko sa iyang features pero medyo bug-at lang sa bulsa.. tag 7k man gud.

Ug ang pinaka barato so far na APC akong nakit-an kay tag 2.5k (BR500 CI-AS)

Naa pud koy nakit-an sa PCHub ug FSP ES 1500va na tag 6k daghan positive review not sure lang ko maka match ba

Get a Synology NAS (sold at tipidpc). Pwede na ang Synology DS110J (1-bay) coupled with APC BackUPS CS500. Nakanindot sa Synology is that it has very low power consumption for 24/7 operation and it can communicate with the APC UPS for power management (when to shutdown when very low na gyud ang battery sa UPS during brownout) via the supplied usb of the APC BackUPS CS500.

You can also queue torrents remotely using any PC (using any browser), iOS (using SynoDS), or Android (using Syndroid) device ;D

If Synology's default download manager doesn't do it for you, you can install transmission via apk install.

Another alternative NAS brand to Synology is QNAP. Naa raay nagbaligya dinhi sa Cebu. I didn't recommend it first since I've only had experience with Synology. The cheapest 1-bay NAS from QNAP has the same functionality as the cheapest 1-bay NAS from Synology.

Another recommendation I have for you is to try out nzb downloading ;D It's way better than torrent downloading ;D

I-check lang sa Synology site which UPS models are officially supported by Synology -> What UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) does Synology Product support?

Unofficial list (as reported by users) here -> User Reported Compatible Uninterruptible Power Supplies - SynologyWiki

As you can see, APC gyud ang high og compatibility sa unofficial list.

Here's a screenshot of the UPS Control Panel from Synology DSM (accessable via any browser)

eXtreme Outer Vision - eXtreme tools for computer enthusiasts

Mao ni akong specs for the past two years na.. No recent upgrades lately..
    C2D E8400 @ 3.0 GHz
    Galaxy GTX 260+ 216
    Gigabyte P35-DS3L
    Silverstone ST560F 560W PSU
    22" LG W2252TQ

343 Watts ang minimum PSU ang kailangan.

Now akong question is kung kayanon ba sa APC na UPS akong rig along with the NAS, modem and router.
Since UPS that has 500VA = 300W or kailangan jud mas taas ug VA akong kailangan which is totally high priced sad.

Murag pinaka dakong investment jud ning mag UPS.

Optional ra man gyud ang UPS.

    Nice jud ang Synology 110J...

Anyway, kung leaving out with the UPS.. I wonder kung safe ba mag 24/7 Synology 110J kung direct sa outlet ang source?

Also since medyo mahal pa kayo ang 1-2TB hardisk karon tungod atong baha sa Thailand.
So medyo mo settle lang sa ko ug 250-320GB na HDD. Then I swap ang 2TB when it becomes cheaper by next year. Question naku is pwede ba salpak ug balik HDD sa PC na gkan sa Synology formated na HDD? Assume ko NTFS or FAT32 iya gamiton?

If you're on a budget, get the Synology USB Station 2 na lang. External hard drive lang iyang i-accept. P5.3k sa tipidpc
