    Default Quitting Smoking

    QUITTING SMOKING

I haven't smoked a single cigarette for 5 days now. It's a record on my part. Since I'm a smoker since I was still in First Year College. I'm 32 yrs old. I was smoking for the past 16 years.

If your wondering what made me quit. It is not because I'm doing it for my Wife, for my Kids or for anybody else. I've been telling myself before to quit smoking for the sake of my kids but in just 2 days, I smoked a cigarette again. Not really that effective. Even my wife keeps telling me to quit smoking for the sake of our kids and myself too. But still I didn't bother to listen.

What really change my mind and focus to quit smoking is not that I'm afraid to die of Lung Cancer. As the pack of Cigarette states "Cigarette Smoking is Dangerous to Your Health." Being afraid is not my motivation to quit smoking. You can't cheat death even if you don't smoke. All of us will die, we just don't know when.

The Secret to Quitting Smoking is asking God to help you Quit Smoking. I've always been asking God to help me Quit Smoking but It didn't really came from my heart. So God didn't gave me the opportunity to Quit Smoking. But lately I asked God sincerely to help me Quit Smoking so God planned everything for my transition to Quit Smoking. God helped me by providing the Right People, Right Time and Right Opportunity for me to Quit Smoking. I didn't plan all of this, It was God's Plan.

GOD introduced me to the RIGHT PERSON, I talked to a neighbor of mine while we were smoking a cigarette. He talked about trying to Quit Smoking but it was peer pressure that prompted him to smoke again. He was tempted to smoke again because most of our neighbors smoke. That incident I was reminded that I asked God sincerely to help me Quit Smoking. So he introduced me to someone in order to remind me to start Quitting Smoking.

GOD gave me the RIGHT TIME, In our village we had a new Basketball Court and Club House. It was finished just in time for our First Village Sports Fest. I signed up to play Basketball and Badminton. This is the Right Time to help me Quit Smoking. If I don't stop smoking, I wouldn't have the air to run up and down the court.

GOD gave me the RIGHT OPPORTUNITY, since my first game in the Basketball event is this Saturday. I started to wake up early to exercise, preparing my body and mind for the coming game. God gave me the Right Opportunity to showcase the skill he gave me.

The Reason that I wanted to Quit Smoking is to Please GOD. I'm doing this for his honor. I'm not doing this to please anyone else, not even myself.

I pray to God to give me the strength to endure to Quit Smoking and guide me in my journey to change for the better.

If you really want someone else or yourself to Quit Smoking, ask God sincerely. God will always answer your Prayers.
