Pinay gang-raped by 17 men in Kuwait

KUWAIT CITY (AFP) — A runaway Filipina maid in Kuwait was abducted and gang-raped by 17 men in desert camps, a newspaper reported yesterday, adding that 14 suspects were in custody.

Four men found the Filipina after she fled her employer’s house and took her to a desert camp where they raped her, the Al-Watan daily said citing a security source.

They then offered the maid to six of their friends who raped her at a second camp before delivering her to seven others who gang-raped her at a third camp.

She was taken to the hospital by Philippine consular officials, the paper said. The embassy was not immediately available for comment.

Police have detained 14 suspects so far - 13 Kuwaitis and one Iraqi, Al-Watan said. A manhunt is continuing for three other Kuwaitis.

More than 70,000 Filipinos live and work in oil-rich Kuwait, many of them as domestic servants.

Very bad and sad news. That's why Philippines need to take care of its own people para dili na manggawas for a much better life. Because sometimes, they just grab whatever opportunity comes their way para lang maka abroad and look now sometimes they dont think about what could happen to them and later find what fate awaits them. Very sad.

You know what naa to news sa Saudi na naa gi gang rape nga babae (Saudi citizen gani to) ang verdict sa judge apil gisilutan ang babae kay ngano daw nag laag2 nga laki iya kauban. Murag caning man siguro silot sa babae adto. I don't know sa laws sa Kwait if inogn ana pod.
