palit ug wireless router. Your laptop connects(wirelessly) to your wireless router and your wireless router connects(wired) to SMARTbro.
there are Smartbro hotspots now installed in some hotels & Mactan Cebu International Airport departure are. One can use their laptops with 802.11 adapters on these sites. Atong pag ASEAN libre ra kuno to ila services, but i don't know if hangtud karon kay ingon sila, after sa ASEAN, pay per use na sila. I have heard that they supply high bandwidths in their hotspots in Mactan Shangrila Hotel, CICC, Portofino & at the MIP Lounge at MCIA. Naa ko kaila nga niingon nga grabe kakusog moabot daw ug 1mbps or more and speed. Di ko ka-validate kay wa man ko didto. These hotspots use 802.11 protocol, but those BTS located in Smart's cellsites are not 802.11 compliant, the reason why you must have a subscriber module installed before you can use the service.
sure ni? or airborne access imo pasabot?Originally Posted by aKo655
yes bai, naa ko kaila nga taga-smartbro, pero karon ila na daw dipaubsan kay that was only for the ASEAN. Sa CICC, naa pud kuno PLDT DSL nga ni-supply pra sa mga media outlets nga naa didto, pero ang Smartbro Hotzone (as they call it), libre para sa tanan.
And that was the time when the internet was crawling because of the Taiwan earthquake, yet they were able to provide huge bandwidth. Does it mean that Smart & PLDT are better prepared in such situations?
