depende sa price sa ivy bridge pag-gawas,....
yeap, i planned to buy sandy end of this month unta pero hapit nmn gud si ivy so ill just wait alil bit more for this will be my 1st and last build (well until mamatay si ivb) hehe. i had prepared 100k already for ivy xd
dili gyd me mo palit sa Sandy Bridge basta maka aford me sa Ivy Bridge.. kwarta rai problema namo diri.
I think Il go for the next iteration of ivy bridge which is faster and stable ( I hope the sata problem in sandy bridge wont happen again), naka sandy bridge naman gud ko run.
ako ani maghuwat lang ug 2600K sandy bridge sa BnS with a cheaper priced ba sandy Bridge-E will come earlier than Ivy bridge? hehe good thing I have the Z68 motherboard and IVY bridge is backward compatible with socket 1155 mobo

@ct22eton21 parya gyud ta ug plano.... 45k man ata tong presyo sa Ivy...
From what i read, Ivy Bridge won't be out til March - April 2012.. So buying Sandy Bridge right now isn't bad at all. Unless your willing to wait til next year. (if the sources are true). If Ivy Bridge does come out within the end of the year then all should buy it instead of Sandy Bridge.
Last May, i bought a Z68 (sandy bridge) motherboard, a person in this forum told me i was stupid for buying a z68 motherboard when the new ivy bridge motherboards are coming out already.
5 months later? is it out yet? Lol. Everyone is buying z68 sandy bridge motherboards as we speak. That user is probably lurking and reading this post right now.
Source: Intel Ivy Bridge Roadmap Reveals Launch In March 2012 - SlashGear
Ivy Bridge is the codename for the yet-to-be released 22 nm die shrink of Sandy Bridge. Ivy Bridge processors will be backwards-compatible with the Sandy Bridge platform.[6] According to a leaked Intel roadmap, Ivy Bridge processors will be released in March-April 2012.[7] Another source specified that the Ivy Bridge platform would be released in March 2012, with the notebook models appearing in April 2012.[8] TDP ranges in the usual 95/65/45/35W options for desktop processors,[9] while Intel says that mobile processors will get a "variable TDP" with for example a 15W TDP when a laptop is mobile, which automatically rises to 35W TDP when the laptop is plugged into a docking bay (with a corresponding rise in performance).[10]
Expected Ivy Bridge feature improvements from Sandy Bridge:
Intel's tri-gate transistor technology, which will significantly reduce power consumption[11]
PCI Express 3.0 support[12]
Next Generation Intel HD Graphics with DirectX 11, OpenGL 3.1 and OpenCL 1.1 support. The built-in GPU is believed to have up to 16 execution units (EUs), compared to Sandy Bridge's maximum of 12.[13]
Next Generation Intel Quick Sync Video[13]
The new random number generator and the RdRand instruction[14] which is codenamed Bull Mountain.[15]
While Ivy Bridge will be compatible with the Cougar Point chipset motherboards associated with Sandy bridge, Intel will also release a new 7-series Panther Point chipset with Ivy Bridge. This chipset will have integrated USB 3.0[16]
compatible diay gihapon sa P67 ang ivy bridge.
nipalit na nuon ko sandy.. tsk tsk...
