Pero if your budget can strecth a bit more why not buy a D7000 or 60D..

TS, go to a camera shop and test both. See and feel which suits your preference. U can't go wrong with either brand. The more you linger and wait for answers here, the more opportunities and moments you lose to develop your skills.
