Hello , a lot of you who owns male dogs offering as stud, sometimes for stud fee and sometimes for puppy sharing. Now most of the time terms are usually done verbally, one puppy to be given to the stud owner (his pick of the litter). There are times when you get only one puppy born or most pups died before release and only one puppy survives.....What will be fair to both parties ? What will be the outcome ? A goodwill compensation for the stud owner ? The lone puppy sold and part of the payment be shared with the stud owner. Or no compensation for stud owner......This topic is shared as one case arise where the bitch owner just refuse to compensate the stud owner. Its also unfair to allow the stud owner to get the lone puppy as the breeder will be at a full loss if ever that materialize. As a breeder and stud owner I would like a feedback
to as to get input to such senario. This will be a lesson for most of us that sometimes a written agreement
will do more good but we have been doing this for ages and puppy sharing is done on merely trust....I have heard stories of some breeders who even try to conceal the birth of their puppies becoz they refuse to give out the pick for the stud. I sincerely hope to hear more from u guys , your take on this topic.... Zwinger von Rottibuhl, Cabancalan Mandaue, Tel. 4207588 / 09189424649. Breeder Edward Boon
