Default Any experience Getting a traffic violation under Maguikay Bridge?

had experience once. supposed to go either left or right, but went straight, then under the bridge was the traffic enforcer telling me to pull down to the sides. got a violation for not following the signs. There was actually no "do no enter". got a citation and indicated that i need to pay the penalty within 7 days or else they will send a warrant and file me a criminal case if i will neglect settling that citation.

any other members with this kind of experience?

yes, it was a fault on my part. i was coming from north. but before you obviously assume or insult me of not knowing the real purpose of why the flyover was made, you should have ask first before concluding. I'd like to explain my side, my fault i did not explain the situation prior to the violation (sorry for being counter blunt about your tackless post ):

I came from A.C. Cortes going west to approach maguikay bridge but then made a right turn going to the direction of lascion then made a uturn at a nearby shell station before reaching metro gaisano to return to maguikay bridge. then made a stop over at modern art which is located near the corner of maguikay before crossing a.c. cortes going south. there was a parking area at that corner which is in front of a hardware store. I was going to buy something at modern art, but it was closed so I immediately planned to go down south to cebu city. Instead of doing a right or left which should be for the fly over turn, i did made the straight route which i normally do during my road bike rides coming from danao (if you are a cyclist, you can relate to this), i forgot i was driving my vehicle. Somehow it did not cross my mind to make a left turn to ac cortes and take the longer road since i'll be just going to mabolo or make a right turn to maguikay and take the talamban-banilad route since, as i've mentioned i was going straight to mabolo. so there that explains my absent minded and forgot about the purpose of the bridge. Sorry idol, tao lang po, nag kakamali.

    now back to the topic:

my purpose of posting or starting was really to ask if any of you have any experiences of getting a citation and not resolving it at LTO within 7 days or any government agency and ended up being sued for as criminal for the violation?

because I had a similar citation given to me years back by CITOM before at taboan market when I went through a one way road and i did not see the sign along the bridge because it was covered by shanties who illegally put up the structures along the bridge. I did not mind or may have forgotten to settle this at LTO and when the time comes I thought I was going to have a problem when I renewed my driver's license I did not have any records or any violation concerns that deprived me from renewing my license. then comes the time when I renewed my vehicle, no problem.

I'm just trying to ask if its possible in mandaue not to settle this violation since all of us are aware that this paying of penalty will just end up in the hands of corrupt government people and i have yet to see better roads in cebu because of us tax payers donating our taxes. sayanga ang time nako ug hassle for this if this does not have any real implications or issues in the future.

by the way, im also aware that these enforcers do not have the right to get my license and i know my rights as well. I know they are bluffing with the license thing, but I just wanted to make sure if its different in mandaue. I was just waiting for this enforcer to get my license so I will write his name and make a case out of it incase. I can manage Citom in cebu but this is the first for me in mandaue. Mandaue has more stricter police and enforcer compared to Cebu that is why Cebu's traffic is in a bigger mess than mandaue. mandaue may have different City specific laws that may not just be "ayaw mind" thing.

hoping for a sensible and un-insulting posts. thanks!

yes, but as i've mentioned in my cebu city's citom experience, i did not have any problems when renewing my license. My concern is specific to mandaue. Is your experience at mandaue area? so as you've mentioned, you did have problems with your license renewal for a violation in mandaue?

***red lang nako kay based on experience lang....dili official....mao ni basta forum...you'll get "possible" answers...not definite....
