that's normal if you just did a clean windows install

right click desktop > properties > select desktop nga tab, then click Customize Desktop

pang checki kuno nang desktop icons nga checkboxes...

XP OS nimo?, maka access ka start button?
Adto ka control panel then select taskbar & startmenu,
try selecting classic start menu, not the default start menu.

Or u can manually add shortcut to ur desktop, right click any program
then send to desktop.

basi na remove nimo accidentally ang mga icons bay.... kai usay naay mo prompt na remove unnecessary icons or unused mga chubachuchu hhihihi....
