for starters, i recommend a complete profile. fill up all items applicable and pass the odesk preparedness test. you can re-take the test over and over until you pass it.

remember, there may be hundreds of other contractors out there who are after the same job that you are interested. the employer won't bother looking at an incomplete profile.
