Folks whats the news & benchmark figures of the New Nvidia XFX 6800 Ultra 512 MB??

basically tabla ra gyud sa 256MB version.. maybe 1-3% faster @ 2048x1536

beyond ana it ang cost is to much for the added 256MB more... you need a faster memory controller to move all the information around.. dili pana kaayo kaya sa current speed sa 6800 or even sa x850.

@ Earlz - thanks for the info...was about to shell out $700++ for a 1-3% difference on a 256 MB. You're right, aint worth it.

Yep, it ain't worth it.. $ 700.00.. consider getting a GeForce 7800 GTX instead...

Most games nowadays won't really utilize 512 MB of local graphics memory.

Funny how 512mb is overkill for most games way back in 2005. Back in 2009, 1gb is the trend but 768mb is enough. Karon, kuwangan na usahay ang 1gb..

I didn't even give a thought about vram ever, till I played Warfighter on my HD6870 and enabled 4xAA. I got playable framerates but the game is choppy. 1GB is going to vram heaven now.

Even BF3 constantly uses no less than 980mb of my vram. i dont know but maybe its even begging for more.

Hmmm.. Maybe ill start a thread about vram usage..
