During a flashback, an interviewer inquires Kuzumi Taiga, a prospective student for Seinagi Private High School, on what he would do if he could use magic, during his entrance interview. He replies, "take over the world", with an outburst of laughter, from an attractive girl, following his answer. After the entrance exam, the school rejects his application; although he recalls almost nothing after this event, he does recall the girl, and believes the cause of his school of choice rejecting his application involves her.

Wandering around outside of the school the next day, Kuzumi tries to enter, but an invisible barrier blocks him. A teacher, Mr. Hiiragi, confuses Kuzumi for a student of the school ditching class and pulls Kuzumi into the school through the barrier.

Seinagi Private High School is actually a magic school and Kuzumi is a teenager with no magical skill.

Great funny manga. Kuzumi inherits the funny, stupid but admirable character of Randou from Pretty Face (Kano Yashiro's earlier work).

It's just sad the ending was a little rushed because Jump canceled it. I was shocked when I learned it had to be canceled because of poor sales. How can a really good manga have poor sales?

But to anyone who still hasn't read this, don't let the fact that it was canceled affect your interest in Mx0. It had a well developed plot and a lot of hilarious moments. And considering the time Kano Yashiro was given to end the manga, the ending wasn't that bad either.

We can only dream of a sequel that will (most likely) never happen.

If you miss the greatness Mx0, try reading Pretty Face (if you still haven’t). It has the same feel as Mx0. Same funny story, minus the magic system.

There’s also his new work, Kagami no Kuni no Harisugawa. I’m still on the 4th chapter, and so far, it’s good. Again, the characters are quite similar to his previous works — not that it’s a bad thing.
