House vs Condo ? ? ?

Looking to get buy a place but really not sure what to do....

House pros:
- Better investment, easier to resell, higher ROI
- More privacy, private parking
- More space than the condo
- Better for barbecues, parties, making noise, etc...

House Cons:
- Maintenance costs
- Cost to hire a full time guard / helper
- May not like my neighbors

Condo pros:
- Centrally located (restaurants, bars, entertainment, shopping)
- Less maintenance (but condo fees are still expensive)
- City view, floor to ceiling windows,

Condo cons:
- Smaller space
- Possible noisy neighbors
- Less ROI


They keep building more and more condos in Cebu, and many people are saying there might be a condo crash because of oversupply. But the cost of condos and are still continuing to climb.

Let me know what you think, what would you do ?

Condo: You own the unit but not the lot.

Keep in mind what happened to the Condo in Makati because of the gas leak.

i'll go for house. ang condo, just in case of any accidents, dali rah kau mawala imung investments. house? atleast, naa pa ang lot. besides, maintenance is the same. sa condo, mas mahal pa gani. whereas, sa house, pwede nmu ma.upgrade. in a few years, pwede nmu ipa renovate. db?
