First it was adsense which was blocked by firewalls and slows down accessing the forum.
Now it is ads.clicksor.com (the banner advertisement), IP 66.48.78.209, blocked by the firewall and which makes browsing the forum almost a pain in the a...
Most simple firewalls will not block this, so no problem, but some better firewalls DO block it, because it sends ICMP packages to ip 66.48.78.209, and it takes around 20 seconds for the forum page to appear. Anything to do about it (dont reply to tell me to allow ICMP traffic...)?

I don't think it has anything to do with ICMP traffic. Is there any particular part of the site that takes so long to load or does it happen to all sections? From where I am right now, mostly it only takes around 1 second to load the whole page... sometimes it goes up to 2-5 seconds but nothing above that so far unless the server is very busy.

I see the top banner of the forum, next is, the firewall make sound, many times, rest of the page is just dark gray.
In the status line of the browser, I see "connecting to ads.clicksor.com, but this is blocked by the firewall, and it waits for the timeout (around 20 seconds later), before finally the forum page is loaded.
