mga bai.. unsa may kalahi.an sa socket 939 ug socket am2 in terms sa ilang performace. asa may nindot nilang duha? advantage/disadvatage..

Based on the benchmarks, gamay ra kaayo ug prefromance diff between a similarly specd 939 and AM2 despite it using DDR2 memory. Tungod cguro sa integ mem controller. Nindot ang Am2 if plano ka palit ug new pc. Also, AM2 supports Virtualization Tech (VT) so u can easily switch bet two OS's (Linux , XP). Newer AM2 procs also have lower power consumption (65w, 35w) and coming na sad ang 65nm die (Brisbane) this dec.

The most significant difference is still unknown.. The coming K8L core will be compatible with AM2 boards.. so till then, its hard to say how it will compare in terms of performance sa C2D.

I prefer picking AM2. always pick sa latest socket. unlike 939,754 nga medyo mabiya.an na. if you have the moni go for Core 2 Duo. i envy them defeating AMD.

The only thing you have to worry about is this ... AMD will no longer develop chips for 939.
