Unable to restore backup on DVD


Hello istoryans,

I am using my windows vista ultimate on my laptop for around three years. I tried to restore the back up taken on

DVD, but it give me the following error and gets closed.

There was and unexpected error in the property page:

The transfer syntax is not supported by the RPC server.
(0x800706C2)

Please close the property page and try again.

When I check the event log, I found two entries relevant to the backup

. Error during RPC serialization: (hr= 0x800706C3)

. Backup started at '6/23/2008 6:11:16 AM' failed the following error code '2147944130' (The transfer syntax

is not supported by RPC server.). Please rerun backup once issue is resolved.

The error appears after around 4-5 minutes of progressing of restore process.

Help is required regarding solution of this error.

back up all files

replace HDD | then install everything

and Vista is a thing of the fast. its heavy and sluggish

win7 ultimate is the one

check and fix hdd for errors, including system errors and malware/viral infections...
