Default New & different look for the Philippine Peso Notes

New & different look for the Philippine Peso Notes. ..but same falling & devalued currency
Can the physical image or appearance of a currency help strengthen the its monetary value?
It seem like they are more concerned of looks than value.

I think its becoming more of a beauty contest na rather than unsa ang sulod or substance

kung nindot ang hitsura or printa sa atong kwarta maka tabang ba ug pa kusog or pataas sa iyang balor?

    My opinion lang

    what about yours?

katong wala and dili ka tugkag don't bother
this is not a matter of measuring up to nationalism and patriotism

i dont think so changing the look of the Philippine Peso would strengthen the value of the currency. Its just a matter of making it look good for the country. No matter what changes are done to the currency, its never gonna go up coz of the corruption we have here in the country.

if the new bill's manufacturing cost (cost to make the bill itself ) is lesser than those of the previous ones then it is a welcomed change.

what changes is only the outer appearance of the bill but not the value. But it's worth cause currency bill might as well represent our country..

    sample:

What will you think of if you found a bill of country which pictures shows a man with a horn in its forhead or a bill with a naked lady? Diba lahi man? So I guess change of image might as well give as a different look but not the value.

Sorry people but I was merely venting out & sarcastically expressing my disgust in my asking if changing our peso's appearance can strengthen its monetary value.

I'm just typing out my thoughts and thinking out "loud" of my frustrations....here is the Philippine Peso--New Look same plunging value.

My point is, could they focus more on its value rather than its lools? and what's wrong with is previous look?

    reason for change: security features

i'm still waiting for the seminar which the bank will give us on this matter.

or as usual...is it simply because remaking or reprinting brandnew peso bills & notes involves another expense...or money. and you know baya the smell of money out from the Philippine Government or simply the filipino peoples' chest or kaban ng bayan, mang gawas ang buwaya or the person/s, government agency involved with the project mag left and right lang sa acquisitions....daghan na pud kick-backs!!!!

yah I guess this is a valid reason

but forgive me lang gyud for being too paranoid when it comes to government activities or projects
or whatever you call a move like this....you can't blame me.
because things like these always involve money and money is like blood in the water and there are
lots of sharks around....sharks in expensive suits and clothes and not the usual smelly fish scales

it's very obvious oi.. DILI mka strengthen sa atong currency value but its reasons for changing that has cultural implications.. currency isn't just its monetary value but a face of a nation by itself..
