Default Is this considered facebook bashing?

I have a cousin who was unable to purchase an item that she asked to be reserved. The seller then labeled her as BOGUS BUYER and messaged my cousin's friends on facebook individually and posting pictures of her God knows where. She was unable to purchase the item yes, but she did not steal, and the item is still with the seller. My cousin is very young and is so much affected by what happened. She thinks she has no future now kay I think a lot of her friends on Facebook have been messaged by the seller. I asked her how many times she was unable to buy a reserved item; and she said just this one item.

Grabe na man pud sa ubang mga tawo oi. There are always risks to being a businessperson, pero I don't think it is right to publicly shame anyone kay tungod wa siya ni dayun ug palit. Sure she did something not right within the context of online selling, but my cousin still does not deserve how the seller decided to address the "situation".

My question now is: is this grounds for libel? Unsa kahay pwede niya mabuhat against this person nga gipakauwawan siya? Magkuha na gyud mi ani ug lawyer?

Actually I read on this thread
    https://www.istorya.net/forums/genera...-facebook.html
that it is indeed grounds for libel. But I just want to know what your thoughts are on this particular situation.

she should've set her privacy settings to friends only, or only me, on the "who can see your friends' list" option. para dili na nasendan ug message sa seller ang iyang mga friends!

ana man jud na sa uban. once nga magpareserve kag item, it is considered sold!

and if you're gonna end up callin a lawyer and pressing charges against the person who's sellin stuff over the net, how sure are you that you'll be able to figure out who the seller is? IP address?

If you personally knew the person your up for your case, then it could be. Or maybe unjust vexation might be an appropriate case.

Hmm, the internet.. kadilikado. Thats why I always value and take more caution with privacy settings.

Interesting pud ni, how to establish the identity. Kay pwede man dayon niya ma deny na dili siya ang nag post ato, no witnesses but only the keyboard and mouse.

Her friend's list is invisible to anyone but her. What the seller did was message everyone who commented on my cousin's status updates kay makita ra man gihapon. I wouldn't suggest calling a lawyer if I didn't think she knows the person, because she does know the person. They have many common friends.

Mao sad. Thanks for the input. Again I really don't know how to go about this legally speaking. I just wanted to assure her everything will be alright, kay she is so affected. Liman ka she thinks she has no future na. In the news you read about kids committing suicide for things that to others may seem mabaw. I think businesspeople should not go so far as posting pictures pud oi and making public announcements especially since in my cousin's case, it was a one-time thing. Kung kadaghan na tingali nahitabo kana makasabot ko.

Again, when you're in business, there are risks involved. That's a given. But the people you are doing transactions with are human beings. If all businesspeople act this way to all who cancel out on them, they are in fact losing customers, because some of these people may have genuinely wanted to buy. And considering nga once ra to nahitabo, I don't think my cousin deserved the whole thing.

let it pass.. wa raman sad mahitabo anah if inyu jud na gukdon... but if grabeh jud ka-affected imu cousin den better console her nalang,

consider it as a test sa imu cousin if she had good friends or not.. kai if naa siya mga good friends then dili na sila ma-affected sa mga msg sa seller.. diha na mu-apaw ang support sa iya friends knowing that na-hurt jud kaayu siya..

matawag jud baya siya ug bogus buyer in an online perspective , but tinuod sayup jud ang gibuhat anah nga seller, angay i-blacklist na siya nga pagka seller..

let it pass... and never reserve an item nga wala pai sure mapalit again kai dili ta katagna sa seller..

expenses sa pag-kaso sa seller > expenses in letting it pass and call it a day

    it just needs effective counseling,
