Have ever wanted to sing in a band?

we are a band composed of 3 members. guitar, bass, & drums. we are looking for a male vocalist(replacement) for a gig this December.

music ranges from:
-Rock
-Alternative
-Punk
-Hardrock
-Pop Alternative
-Reggae


WHO QUALIFIES:

We are not a high profile group (not yet...or so we hope). We still consider ourselves amateurs so for those who expect to get paid or earn...dont bother (we are not earning from this also). However, this does not mean we will take on just anybody. We are interested in someone who is passionate about music, someone who's got the drive and the right attitude. We welcome newbies who honestly think they can shine if given the chance. We are not full-time musicians so we reserve the same expectation to whoever is interested in filling up this position.

We want someone who understands the concepts of voice quality (you don't have to sound like Eric Santos, we'd hate that), voice projection, tone, & range. Most of all the applicant must have basic knowledge of music theory (if not, at least the willingness to learn it). Also, the applicant must know how to pronounce English words properly. If he can play an instrument that would be so much better.

iskoLares, if you have the same voice quality as Pavarotti or Renz Verano I think that would be very interesting, (if you use that kind of voice over a Rock or Metal Tune) don't you think? We are not going to play their songs though coz we are mainly a rock band. You will have to learn to sing in the style of the songs we will be choosing. If you have your own style...that will be very useful later on.

i'd love to.. but i'm on a mission to bring grunge back... my voice sounds like kurt not eddie...i wanna make music that's not soo standard.. i wanna bring the raw kind of music back..like wtf or we dont give a **** music (so what?) .. i hate the sounds of the post grunge bands like alice n chains candle box ooh shit creed and alot..
