So recently, I am currently in Grade 6, and my mother have been deciding whether I should go to The Philippine Science High School. I'm part of the Top 3, and my bestfriend is the problem here. Her mother told her to go first. I didn't really tell her anything about it yet. But then she is already going to reviews, and doing everything! I can't afford those reviews. Examination starts on September. And applying is due on July 15. Should I really try? HELP ME.

Why not? Are you afraid of failing? don't be. Part ra na sa kinabuhi dong Mas worse pa ang feeling sa pagmahay na wa ka ni try kay sa ni try ka and you failed.

I'm a graduate of PSHS-SMC and I encourage you to take the test. I also attended paid reviews to increase my chances of passing, but I have to say it only helped just a little, if not at all.
You could study on your own. The test is mainly about logical/abstract reasoning anyway, and a bit of Math; not sure if the exam has changed as I took it about 13 years ago

Stop worrying about your friend. The trick is to stop competing with anyone else in your class, including your friend. Compete only with yourself.

I do hope you take the exam.

I dont really believe that because a school is Philippine National Science High School International churvah churva pasabot ato kay tanan na giud students kay ma successful in life..

unsaon man sad na nimo ang Genius level oi nya ang english kay wala nagka dimao.. no offense ha.. and I'm not saying na ilang english kay dli mao... just a possible thing you know...
for me personally.. Pinaka importante giud ang ka ng tao na kamao mu express sa iyang self og sa iyang feelings.. ka ng kamao mu handle ug tao and kamao mu lead and all..

naa ra giud na sa tao and skill of communication.. Shempre, it helps na bright pd ka pero hello.. how many of us commoners find the value of X and Y everyday or have to calculate the obtuse angle... right?

Mas maau giud na miski asa ka na skwelahan kay naa kay opportunity to excel not only inside the classroom but to gain skills that will be useful for the outside world..

Sa akoa personally kay improvement sa pag gamit sa english giud.. because I deal with international clients everyday.. Not all are fluent in english pero they respect me and trust me because I'm able to communicate with them and of course, kamao man pd ta mudala ug tao.. so ma meet giud nako ilang needs miski unsa na field.. you don't really have to sound like an american but at least have a wide vocab aron murag attorney sad ka paminawon panagsa ba.. hehehe (btw, dli ko call center.. international business)

It's not that I'm discouraging you to go to the Science schools.. if you can, then by all means please do.. pero sa personal experience lang nako sa katong mga classmate ug kabarkada nako nag science school kay pag human ug skwela.. pareho raman ghapon me.. ang uban naka kita scholarship abroad, ang uban nag nursing, ang uban nag call center, ang uban kay nanga buntis.. I guess.. everyone's still everyone even if naka high school sila sa Science school
