stupid TOSHIBA MK4025GAS

hello istoryans!
i have a problem with this TOSHIBA MK4025GAS (bogo nga harddrive =D)
used it as an external harddrive
when i ran driver detective it says "its out of date"
dili nq magamit ky dili mu appear sa my computer
any ideas?

i dont really get it why u say "bogo ang hard drive"
in the first place "driver detective" is only a software that searches for updated drivers
i don't see any connection between driver detective and "bogo ang hard drive"

ngano...mangayo diay driver kada saksak nimo sa usb port?no need to update if it is running fine since it is not part of your system....

madetect man sya sa usb safe remove didto nq mu appear initio MK4025GAS usb device. . dili lng nq makita ang drive sa my computer..
try nq computer management wala. .
try nq sa driver detective ..
madetect niya nakabutang out of date..

bdw, knsy naay driver detective dra with working serial?

naa ni solod ang hdd nmo?

naka try lang ko b4, hdd from laptop pud, with os toh cya, and files sa iyang 2nd partition, it was running under xp home ed. sa laptop,

ako gi kuha ang hdd from laptop after na guba ang laptop, ako gi butang og enclusure, to retrieve somthing sa partition, same thing happend to your situation, di makita pero ma detect ra, my system was runing under windows 7 pro 64bit...and so ako gi try sa pc sa akong cousin running under xp...nakita ra niya, with no problem...ambot lang pud unsay reason(compatibility?? dont know really). i didnt bother coz nakuha na nako ang mga files ako kailangan.

if wala siya sa my computer ma display.. unya makita sa devices.. it is possible nga wala ma detect ang Hard Drive / HDD sa sulod or failing nana nga HD. ang na detect man gud ana niya bro dili man ang hard drive nga naa sa sulod, but ang converter from SATA/PATA to USB nga card.. hope it enlighten you.

Immediate Remedy:

Take out the HDD from for external enclosure and test it sa laing unit.. (isak2x nimo laing laptop sa mo sakar sa interface ana SATA or PATA.)

plug and play btaw... then why do u need to use like driver detective? when sure man ka na na detect imo enclosure? and imo problem is why wala ma kita sa imo enclosure and imo harddisk gibutang... verify daw na dili na guba imo bogo na toshiba harddrive... if ok imo enclosure ang bogo...

If tanan pheriperals nimo function jud nganong mag Driver Detective man pud ka. Gani nag try ko ana sa akong unit which is all hardware is functioning without any problems at all pero naka butang ang uban driver is *out of date*. I never update kay function man jud siya.

Basin naka display lang siya sa device infor pero wala ma load tanan kay wala ka daug ang imong hard disk thru sa USB port nimo. Need proper voltage baya na ang Hard Disk para ma load jud na siya. paminawa kong naa ba sound like Spinning sa imong enclosure.

Try to mount your drive sa lain PC which is running Windows 7.
