I had a conversation with a friend the other day. He's the kind who's got major homophobic issues (scared of homosexuals).. but i don't think it's fear towards them.. but more of
anger or
hatred of a sort.
Now, i have friends who are gays and lesbians, so i have no problem with them.
Anyway, the conversation went on, and it came to a point when he had to answer a situational question. And that required him to put himself in the shoes of the person in the situation, who was a woman.
Right away, he stopped and went "sorry, i dunno."
I was a little shocked, since this guy is usually very bright. i replied, "huh? you didnt even think about it."
his reply, "i dunno. I can't think like a woman."
"all you need is a little empathy. it's not a difficult question you know." i answered.
"no! i dont want to. i'll feel like a fag" he replied. he dropped the topic immediately after.

A fag? Does thinking like us for a moment make you feel like faggots
Personally, i felt quite offended. us women can put ourselves into men's positions for a while and think like you guys can in certain situation, and yet some guys have such an ego and pride that thinking like a woman would immediately turn them into a fag?
I dunno.. i was a little frustrated at his answer. but i brushed it off..
I just want to know if you guys out there think similarly to the way he does. And if you guys do, please explain so that I may understand your POVs.
