    Default Help on Recording studio


    hello Istoryans

    we made a small recording studio. but we dont have any experience on this.

    our equipments are Mic[recording mic], small mixer, Mac book, Canon 550D[for video]

    but we dont know what program we will use. if you guys know what program should we use. can you share it to us?

    sir its home based. we are still beginners, just got the equipment's last week. then we are thinking what would be a good program for the audio.

    General Advise: READ...READ...READ... (the more you know about the equipment/sonic characteristics/software you opt to use, the easier will your recording life be. Even before you start to lay your hands off your recording stuff.)

    TIP:
    sony acid should be a good start. grab a good mic (SM-5 and a descent soundcard (m-audio will be descent enough). that should get you going.

    sir is it the PRO 7? ill try it. im currently downloading.
    we are just using a sony mic the one for Karaoke. lol but still its good. bought it for 2k. then we just added some round frame and put some stockings on it

    Audio production software can be extremely over-facing even intimidating to a novice (not to mention expensive). Given your situation I would probably recommend Mixcraft (v5+) as it's fairly intuitive with a simple layout. I believe you'll find yourself making music faster using this than some of the more advanced software out there.
