Last June 8, 2011 6:30 sa kabuntagon naglawig ko gikan sa pajac lapulapu padulong sa among balay sa talamban. Isa ako ka langyaw sa lapulapu city ug wala ako masayod sa ilang mga balaod sa kadalanan pwera nalang sa mga sign boards nga ilang gipang butang sa mga kadalanan og ang mga "Tricle Lane" nga gi sulat sa dalan mismo. Sayo pa jud kaayo ni sa kabuntagon nga wala pa jud kaayo sakyanan sa kadalanan. Sa pagabot nako sa intersection before sa KARAAN NGA TULAY coming from Lapu-Lapu adunay 4 ka lanes. Ang pina ka right na lane kay exclusive sa right turns and then ang duha na sunod ana kay ang lane padulong straight sa bridge and ang pina ka left na lane mao kana ang exclusive for left turns only. DAKO KAAYO NA SAYOP! kay ang Lapu-Lapu city ra jud ang naka huna huna og lain na pamaagi unsaon nila pag twist ilang dalan para mangalingla ang mga langyaw na mo adto sa ilang dapit. kay matod nila ang pina ka right na lane is for right truns, ang sunod ana na lane to the left is only for motorcycles, then the next one in the middle is for 4 wheeled vehicles and ang last lane, ang pina left kay para sa mo LEFT turn AND mo straight. Wala jud intawn koy paagi na mahibaloan na ang kadtng 2nd lane from the right is only for motorcycles. Wala silay gibutang na sign board, or maski marka nalang sa dalan, and I cant use my Logic to do it for me since it was 6:30 in the morning and ang mga tao na ga linya sa 3rd from the right lane kay 3 ra kabook and no one was using the 2nd to the right lane so I went to line in the 2nd lane. I lined in the 2nd lane out of ignorance.

the officer in the middle of the intersection radioed his co-enforcers and 2 of them are walking my way. I just sat there and watch them walk over to my lane. as they approched me they said to me License palihog. I was so innocent of my fault I asked them straight. what did I do wrong. and they said, "naa ka ni line sa lane nga para sa mga motor." (WHAT?) how was I to know that this lane is only for motorcycles when there was no sign what so ever! there was even no road marks on the road. so I asked him about it and he just said, "naa man mi gibutang dinha nga CONE sa kilid sa dalan ." (WHAT strike 2) It signifies nothing in my book! enforcers in CEBU do it sometimes in the main intersections in the City to stop jeepney drivers who ambushes private vehicles near the stop lights. So, I pleaded on saying I dont frequent here in your city and I dont know that there is such a law that exists here. I PLEADED with every plea I know in my book saying over and over again I mean no disrespect and this is the first time I have incurred a fault in your city as to the reason that I dont know this law exists here. I could have not made a lot of traffic since it was still 6:30 in the morning. All my pleaing fell on deaf ears. So, I handed over my license he wrote there in my T.O.P. "Obstruction". I ended up paying the entire fine and I cried as I went my way home. (good thing my wife was not there to see it all)

there were no Sign boards!
there were no Road marks!
the enforcer showed no quarter!
they only have Cones on the side of the road which by the way means nothing in my book.
it was still too early in the morning 6:30!

I talked to most people about it and they usually say. basin they want to impliment a single file going to the bridge.
well, that is so not the case
because it seems from my stalking that the left most lane CAN go straight instead of exclusive LEFT. By the way if that is the case then they should not have disabled one lane because they ALLOW the LEft Most lane to go straight. disabling the 2nd lane garners no effect because they allowed the vehicles in the left most lane to go straight, hence 2 lanes go straight to the BRIDGE.

THEIR ROAD RULES are just crazy! their enforcers Are heartless.

by the way I was only caught once in my entire life of driving. I was ok with the first one since it was really my fault. however, this time I was violated of my right to information. there was none posted in the road.

Im airing my dislike and my protest on their stupid rule!

in the present day however they used the cones to block the road entirely. they should have done that a long time ago. it would have spared me my 700 pesos, my resentment and my tears. I abhore Lapulapu road rules. (especially near the bridge)

dra xa na dakpan sa kanang gikan sa tamiya., kai duna cones dra dapit, kato dunai cones kai ara to mga motorcycles mag linya padung sa bridge. kaso wala sign, cones ra jud. , imo unta ge koha ilang names og tawag sa dyab abante bisaya. panawagan dayun ka ani para ma tagad. ila man gud ni e himo og rason para maka dakop. ana rajud ng mga pinoy.. maro2, diskarte.

It serves no purpose what-so-ever doing this. Making the second lane from the right into a motorcycle lane nulls its purpose when the left most lane (the lane that is dedicated for vehicles making a left turn in the intersection) CAN go straight to the OLD bridge.

if they say they want to make the old bridge entrance from lapulapu less congested. they should not have turned that to a motorcycle lane. The best they could have done is enforce that the LEFT most part lane facing the bridge from tamiya MUST TURN LEFT. therefore, keeping two lanes going straight. It has been like that since I was a kid.

@peweetot your welcome bie, pero I doubt you will fall victim to what happened to me back then since they totally closed it off now. Using the same cones as before.

@prakx Lord nalang jud bahala ani nila bie... naglagot ko sa enforcer kay walay kasing kasing pero wala man ko mabuhat if ingun ana iyang kinaiya nga tilap lubot sa superior. ang akng ginahinaot ani akng post nga maka balo nalang ang uban tao sa ilang ka STUPID sa ilang mga balaod, ug hinaot pa unta na mausab ang ilang gibuhat na stupidity.

Pero sa una, reklamo gyud dayun ko sa CTMS if dili dayun maka RIGHT turn kay naay nagbabag nga "going straight"...naa sab gyud uban nga inconsiderate kaayo....kusog mosingit sa linya unya himan-himan mobabag sa mga right turning vehicles...pastilan. Naa sab uban nga dili mo turn right bisan naay sign nga TURN RIGHT at anytime with care, maghulat gyud nga mo GREEN ang suga usa mo turn right...pastilan!
Naglibog gyud tingali sila sa NO RIGHT Turn on RED signal. hehehe

Sige man ko manawag ana ila ofc, CTMS 341-1955 kay reklamo sa ilang mga palpak.
Murag kanang ilang mga traffic engineers/planners dinha sa CTMS kay dili driver....sige lang tingali na sila dinha ug facebook hahaha.

Latest nila palpak kanang ilang gi pintal sa karsada nga "TRICYCLE LANE" dinha sa Basak Road.
Ako nangutana ko unsay pasabut sa "TRICYCLE LANE"? ..ingon to nitubag, anha moagi dapat ang tricycle.
ask ko balik, if ang auto moagi..puede ra? ingon siya, OK ra.
ask na pud ko, if ang tricycle moadto sa lane nga walay "TRICYCLE LANE" nga marking, ok ra ba? ingon pud siya ok ra...
ingon dayun ko, so...unsay gyud diay ang gamit sa "TRICYCLE LANE" marking if bisan asa ra gihapon ang tricycle moagi?
