Well, kinda started watching this anime last summer when i bought the dvd set. stage 1,2,3 and 4. Unfortunately, the 4th stage was incomplete and the quality of the film was rather crude.
ANyways, i started watching what i missed on the 4th stage at youtube.com and it brought back the "dorifto" craze in me.
If ever any of you guys watch this anime let's discuss it here.
And for those of you who haven't tried watching it yet, just search initial d on youtube.

last naman daw na ang 4th... atot kaayo. naa lagi manga wala man pud na baligya diri (i think). but even if naa, mas nice gihapon ang anime..

Haha! well, there are some of us who prefers the manga...
sometimes, mas better ang manga nga story... for example: Samurai X, Full Metal Alchemist, Samurai Deeper Kyo.
These are animes who did not wait for the manga story to develop, they created their own story. So in a way, although we hate fillers... like NARUTO and BLEACH are doing now, we should still be thankful that it's true to the manga story.
For initial D, i think TAKUMI lost to his father again. His father, using his new car. I can't really confirm this, a friend just told me...
