guitar players you love and why?

Hi, just wanted to start this thread to find out and discover new guitar players from istoryans on here...please state the genre/style of music he plays...i'll start off.

1. Steve Vai - the thing that separates him from the others is his great tonality. I think steve's more into metal with a mix of blues and rock but its hard to determine which genre he belongs to.

2. Jeff Beck - simply awesome, check out his album blow by blow. The Yardbirds where great during their time because of him in my opinion.

Blues/Texas Blues
3. Joe Bonamassa and SRV (Stevie Ray Vaughan) - if you love the blues then you probably know this guys. Sad that SRV passed away at such a young age.

Progressive metal/rock
4. Tosin Abasi of animals as leaders - just check out their debut album and you'll know. Not to mention he plays an 8 string guitar and bass duties (studio only).
