Kinsay naka hearing na mag open daw ang CVG sa Dumaguete? Anyone who knows when and what account?

According sa tsismis, ang old building a SPI Bacong daw kay naay mo sulod na bagong company. June mo expire ang contract sa SPI sa Bacong so sa June maka balo nata unsa mo sulod.

hope this is true na jud kai mangapply ta didto. mau pud unta the same rate sila didto or if di man gali pareha jud at least competitive ra sad. any idea pila ang offer sa existing call centers sa dumaguete?

existing rate sa dgte AFAIK are around 8k to 10k. Gamay ra jud kaayo...there is one call center that opened years ago who offered 20k as starting for experienced agents but they dropped their rates to 12k for new hires. If mu open ang CVG, and if their rates tops the others by 2k plus then I would transfer there...

It depends on what deparment you belong. SPi is called a "full service" BPO company, so it has many departments. It was previously solely known for its publishing business (which became the number one and the largest in the whole world, the reason it has never fallen below the top 100 BPO corporations in the world), then diversified to medical and legal services. When it was acquired by PLDT, the latter reorganized its BPO business with SPi as the remaining entity. Because of its success, the callcenter arm of PLDT (Ventus) was renamed as SPi Global CRM...

I believe that those in the publishing business, especially in the copyediting section, receive the highest salary at 15K-16K minimum when they get regularized.

But I heard SOPHI Philippines and ZeroOne Concept pay well too, above 15K...

Oh well, I hope Convergys comes to Dumaguete as it has been hiring almost every month here since last year. Though not really from Dumaguete, I was invited by a friend many years ago to have a vacation here several years ago, and I fell in love with the place. After spending several months in the city, I felt it was time for a new environment, the reason I am now settled here but still having businesses with some companies in Manila and around the world.

Having Convergys here would be great as it would mean more people with high disposable incomes and more people to do business with ...

Dugay na man ni na tsismis.. Hopefully when Convergys decides to put up a site in Dumaguete, they should offer higher rates compared to those existing bpo's who are blackballing their agents.
