Default Gigabyte's GA-A75-UD4H Fusion motherboard leaks

Oh boy, it's really looking like Computex won't be much fun when it comes to motherboards this year, as by now at least half of all the new boards must've leaked. Today yet another model has turned up online and this time around it's Gigabyte's GA-A75-UD4H which sports AMD's FM1 socket for its Fusion processors.

We're looking at a blue PCB board which is surprising as Gigabyte has stated that their UD4 boards and up should all use a black PCB, so we're not sure if this is a picture of an early sample, or if Gigabyte changed its mind for the Fusion boards as they will overall be in a lower-end category than say AMD's AM3+ boards. We'll do some digging on the matter and get back with more details during our Computex coverage.

The board has two x16 PCI Express slots, although the second slot is sharing bandwidth with the primary slot, although this does at least mean that there's CrossFireX support. The board also has three x1 PCI Express slots and two PCI slots. The board only has five SATA 6Gbps ports, as the sixth port has been put on eSATA duty.

One rather interesting feature is the fact that the A75-UD4H sports two internal USB 3.0 pin headers for a total of four front USB 3.0 ports and Gigabyte has gone for AMD's integrated USB 3.0 controller for the front ports. There are also pin headers for another eight USB 2.0 ports as well as a serial port.

It's a little bit hard to tell what's going on around the back, but an educated guess would suggest that we're looking at a PS/2 port, two USB 2.0 ports, four USB 3.0 ports via two Etron USB 3.0 host controllers, a Gigabit Ethernet port, an eSATA port, 7.1-channel audio with optical S/PDIF out and last, but not least, a D-sub, DVI and HDMI port. We'll know for sure next week at Computex and hopefully Gigabyte will have more boards on display then.

    update for today:

    A quick look at Gigabyte's A75 motherboards

We’ve already seen a leaked picture of Gigabyte’s GA-A75-UD4H AMD socket FM1 motherboard and now we’ve got a couple of better pictures of the board alongside the GA-A75M-UD2H. The two boards are actually quite similar in terms of features, but we’re of course looking at one ATX and one mATX board here.

Let’s start with the GA-A75M-UD2H which some pictures have already leaked of via a Greek website. However, the board we’ve seen is quite different for whatever reason. For starters the slot layout differs, as the board we saw had two x16 PCI Express slot with the secondary slot having four lanes worth of bandwidth and two PCI slots. The earlier leak has a x1 PCI Express slot in lieu of one of the PCI slots.

Our board appears to be an earlier revision and it didn’t have the final heatsink, but otherwise most of the on-board features are the same with five SATA 6Gbps ports, a USB 3.0 pin-header for two ports, two USB pin-headers for four ports, a FireWire pin-header and even a serial and parallel port pin-header.

Around the back things are different, as the board we’ve seen had a PS/2 port, two USB 2.0 ports, four USB 3.0 ports (of which two are from an Etron host controller), an eSATA port, a FireWire port, a Gigabit Ethernet port, 7.1-channel audio with optical S/PDIF out and finally a D-Sub, DVI and HDMI port. The other board is only slightly different with the PS/2 port at the bottom of the stack with two USB 2.0 ports on top and the addition of a DisplayPort connector, something missing from the board we saw. We’re not sure which of the two models Gigabyte will actually be the final board that will launch, but it’s peculiar that there are two so similar models floating around.

As for the GA-A75-UD4H, well, the most interesting thing here is really the rear port layout, as this was the part that we couldn’t see on the previously leaked picture. The board is loaded out with a PS/2 port, four USB 3.0 ports (all via an Etron host conller), two USB 2.0 ports, a FireWire port, an eSATA port, a Gigabit Ethernet port, 7.1-channel audio with optical S/PDIF out and a full set if display connectivity option consisting of D-Sub, DVI, HDMI and a DisaplyPort connector.

The board itself appear to be identical to the earlier leak as far as we can tell, so we suggest you head over and check out the earlier story for the breakdown on the rest of the features on this model. We’d expect some UD3 models from Gigabyte as well, although at least for the time being, we’re not expecting any higher-end models. Oh, about the blue PCB that should be black, we’ll, we’re still not sure why it’s blue, but it’s likely not something most people are going to be too upset by.
