Acer for me coz it's nvidia.... video editing works better daw in nvidia chipset...

Acer Would Fit For Your Need TS. But sad to say although msi has bigger rams but the built-in or gpu is important. as you stated above for video and photo editing purposes.

id go for ACer and upgrade ram to either 4GB or 6GB

I think 540M is faster than 6470...

So I'd go for Acer.

Personally had bad experiences with both Acer and MSI with their laptops.
