advise on slr please d5100 or d7000

i currently have a D3000 for 1yr and 3 mos already and planning to upgrade. I'm planning to buy a new cam soon and i'm confused. can you provide the advantages and disadvantages in simpler terms? what lens do i need to buy? i'm into portrait only and kanang ginagmay na landscape. need help jud.

ako advise stop sa ang thinking for upgrade kaw ra gi ilad anang mga nindot ug lens and camera mamahal ug mabarato nga camera and lens nag agi gihapon na ug post-processing. start investing on your skills. attend seminars or whatever is available.. imo sa na pahimuslan imong D3000, then gauge yourself... panagsa ra kaayo ka mka kita diri ug mahalon nga camera ug lens nga gi Straight from Camera nga gi pang post. if you're still a hobbyist invest osa sa composition and your skills..

ask urself osa bro, kung kinhanglan naba ka mo upgrade ug camera or mo upgrade sa skills?

d7000 bro nindot f wla pka budget dn go for 50mm 1.8 pra portrait..bt f 1 ka lens pa imu ma afford rn for wide and portrait hmmpppp go for tamron 17-50mm 2.8 or sigma 17-70mm..or f mahal ra 50mm 1.8 + 18-55mm kitlens..its for me lng ni ha..

buy lens na lang instead of a new camera.

why do you need a new camera diay?

main difference sa duha is that D7000 has built-in motor and Commander mode.

since ganahan kag portraits, magamit nimo ang commander mode sa D7K for off cam flash, although pwede pud ka mag gamit triggers ( for both D7K and D5100), additional equipment nani ang trigger especially if D5100 ka.

50mm F1.8D and 85mm F1.8D are good portrait lens, if ul aquire these and u have D7K, they will autofocus since naa motor ang D7K.

if ul get D5100, mag manual focus ka for these lens. or you can get the AF-S lens like 35mm F1.8G, 50mm F1.8G ( june 2011 release), 50mm F1.4G, 85mm F1.4G. AF-S/G lens are more expensive. you can also check those third party lens which have built in motors.

i suggest u invest on lens, master ur camera osa and upgrade ur skills instead. pero kung papilion jud ko, d7000 kay mga fafa kau ang mga taga d7k community hehehe..
