    Default Purchasing a PS2

Planning on purchasing a PS2 sometime next month (I know, I'm 6 years too late..pffft.. ). I've heard problems about the slim type units, heat problems and stuff. Unya na sad koy migo sulti nga di siya kakaya ug gaming longer than 2 hours. Kinahanglan ipahuway jud kuno. Anyone know where I can buy the old design, dili kaning latest revision nga slim type PS2? Are there still shops here that carry the old PS2 (are they even brand new?)? And if so, how much? Also, it would be helpful if anyone can point out the positive and negative points sa slim type PS2s ug sa old PS2.

@BURN_BaD: Be wary na sad of old PS2 (bulky type) since most have worn out lens na and as every PS2 owner knows, ang lens ang first nga mu-die out... So if makapalit ka og bulky PS2 type, basin in 2-6 months, dili na kaayo kabasa ang PS2 nimo tungod kay worn-out na kaayo ang lens... Don't believe those selling bulky type PS2's who say nga pila ra ka times gi-gamit ang PS2 nila. Mas maayo if you buy from those who sell bulky PS2s and usually play via HD through the use of HDLoader para dili ma-worn out ang lens.

I agree, slim na lang nga brand new. You'll never know how 'used-up' na ang lens sa 2nd hand nga slim type nga ps2...

Wait for PS 3 to launch before the end of this month.. and in effect I think the PS 2 price will also drop.

I recommend slim type PS2. I play my unit 5 hours and up. No problem encountered, also mas updated ang iya firmware. Its normal for the PS2 to heat up but as far as I know these ICs dont heat up to 60 degrees commercial type units. Proper ventillation lang gyud para sure sad and to extend its life.
